Dr. Schnaidman’s career began in education, where she worked as a teacher while completing her undergraduate degree at Touro College. It was during this time that she observed the profound impact that emotional needs and undiagnosed learning challenges could have on students' ability to succeed. Motivated to make a difference, she transitioned into psychology, focusing on family and school systems and neuropsychology. Today, Dr. Schnaidman uses her deep understanding of the brain and educational systems to conduct personalized, thorough evaluations for children and collaborate with families and school personnel to foster academic and social success.
In her therapeutic work, Dr. Schnaidman leverages her comprehensive knowledge of neuropsychology to help individuals better understand themselves and their unique cognitive and emotional processes. This understanding, she believes, is key to recognizing patterns of behavior and making informed, constructive choices. Dr. Schnaidman works with adolescent girls, women, and couples navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, relationship challenges, workplace dynamics, and life transitions. She also supports parents in developing strategies to understand and empower themselves and their children, as well as those recovering from trauma, to improve their overall functioning and well-being.
Dr. Schnaidman holds a Doctorate in Psychology and a Master’s in psychology from Rutgers University, as well as a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Touro College. While at Rutgers, she received specialized training in Tourette Syndrome, OCD, and related disorders.
